FAQ

At what time do we have to show at the starting point?

For group tours, runners are kindly requested to show up at the meeting point 10 minutes in advance of the scheduled starting time: the tour will start on time with the present runners.

For private tours, please be on time as given that the total duration of the tour starts from the agreed meeting time.

What is the running pace referred to?

The running pace indicated in group tours refers to a run on a flat course and is intended as the pace the runner must comfortable be able to keep for the whole distance in order to enjoy the tour. The pace could be sped up on the basis of the group composition and on condition of unanimous agreement of all the participants.

Do we stop along the tour?

Every tour is designed with short stops to let you sightsee the spots visited and hydrate, if needed. And of course to take some nice photos!

Do I have to carry water with me?

Along the courses there are some public fountains provided with drinkable water, so it is sufficient to bring with you a water bottle to refill or simply to drink from the fountains.

Do you operate running tours even during crowded-events period such as Carnival?

Yes. During high tourist season some tours will be detoured on alternative courses in low crowded areas in order to let you unplug from the huge tourist mass and to guarantee a tourist experience coherent with Venice by Run high satisfaction standard. We are pretty sure you like it!

Which is the suggested running gear?

We invite you to always check the local weather forecast (weather bulletin provided by ARPAV – regional agency for environment) and to wear in accordance to it. The pavement of calli and campi is mainly made of masegni (trachyte stone blocs coming from the hills surrounding Padua) and porphyry. Both the materials are compact and strong like tarmac so the impact is similar to road running. To the technical features of the pavement must be added a variable number of bridges to cross. For comfort and safety reasons is highly recommended to use high cushion running shoes (cat. A3).

Is there a deposit available for personal items or changing clothes?

Please keep in mind that at the moment it is not available a deposit for personal items and changing clothes, so come at the meeting point already dressed to run.

Do you cancel the tours for some reason?

Basically, there are two cases in which the tour could be cancelled:

  • sudden and unforeseen unavailability of the scheduled guide;
  • presence of the “high water” phenomenon (Venice only) or extreme adverse meteorological events like bora wind or huge storms. Anyway, if you are in doubt, expect to run!

You will receive a full refund few minutes after you receive the cancellation message.
